Searching for a couple of photos last night I came across this Caravan Club sticker. Iam not sure where it was taken but it is for the Caravan Club of Australia Membership of 1969 - 70.

Hi George.
You must have a bigger computer screen than mine.
I think it was about 3 or 4" wide.
Cheers.

Re: Caravan Clubs.
I found the photo posted by Richard on the 2 Feb, 2013 of special interest and here is an enlargement.
I own a tourer of the same model and I can't imagine pulling that weight with it, although a friend in the UK uses one for a van that is 30 cwt. Maybe I just don't give it enough credit, they are tough little cars and of course that's why they have gears. I dare say first gear would get a workout, even the handbook says it's not necessary to use it unless on a steep incline, and mine is only ever driven as a three speed. Given the road conditions and speed limit imposed on vehicles towing back in the 30s it is unlikely it ever got up to 60mph or 100 kph anywhere to try stopping it with the mechanical brakes.
Maybe I should fit a tow bar and try it out?

Interesting to me because the car on the left is a 1935/6 DX 14 hp Vauxhall, a 6 cylinder engine of about 1.8 litres. The cars overall length is about 15 feet, so how big is that van? 18-20 foot maybe and if one works to the formula of 1ft is about 1cwt (generously light I feel) then the little Vauxhall is punching well above it's weight I reckon.I own a tourer of the same model and I can't imagine pulling that weight with it, although a friend in the UK uses one for a van that is 30 cwt. Re: Caravan Clubs.
This lovely RACV Caravan Club badge was attached to a Country Club van at Broken Hill and it's a fair size, the colour appears to have faded, but none the less a nice period item.
Several vans were sporting RACV Caravan Club stickers, and someone told me they are reproductions, but they certainly seem faithful to the original design as on the metal badge above.
