Some limited research of on line newspapers found numerous adverts for Metro Motors who were motor vehicle dealers and seem to have taken up caravans as well.
An advert in The Argus 22-10-1938, below, is specifically for the caravan business and indicates the Caravan Works were located at the Flemington Road address.
They were keen for business though, even provided an after hours phone number.
