Aristacrat Caravans.
Fairy Meadow NSW.

I have been given some information on Aristacrat caravans by Errol who's father owned a 1948 Aristacrat and also a 1956 model as well. Errol recalls that the factory was behind the drive in theatre in Fairy Meadow, and they also made some very nice timber boats as well.

This is Errols parents 1948 Aristacrat Caravan with a lantern roof. With this and the two vans in the photo below all have the Aristacrat badge on the sides at the front.

In 1953 they traded the van in on a new 1956 model, and by now the lantern roof was no longer produced. Errol's and a family friends Aristacrat vans on there way to Taree.

Hi Richard

All nice vans, especially the 1956 model and I notice they are towing them with top of the range vehicles available at the time, no Austin A40s!
