2011 Calendars.

Post by Richard »

Since the 2010 edition calendars were such a great success Linda and I are planning another calendar for 2011.

For those that didnt see the 2010 version here is a link. 2010 Calendars

It will be the same deal as this years calendar, so we are asking everyone to submitt their photos of your historic caravan or historic car and caravan combination ( at least 500kb ) and the 12 chosen by us will recieve a free calendar for taking the time to contribute..
As a bit of a hint, try and take photos where there are no modern cars, caravans in the back ground.

I have checked with the supplier and if we can get an order together for around 200 calendars they will sell for about $10 each plus postage. Which I think is very reasonable.

So have your camera at the ready for that perfect photo and submitt them by October so that Linda can start to get the calendars under way.

Cheers.

Hi Richard

Is the calendar project going ahead? What is the deadline for photos? I wasn't considering my van at this stage till it gets a bit of new paint but wondered if others might be considering the option still.

As you know we are off to Canada next week for holidays :) :) including self drive, so providing I don't smack the front of a Kenworth driving on the wrong side of the road first day :o I hope to find a few old 'trailers' to photograph. I've not been able to find anything on the www specifically for older trailers in Canada but surely there is some movement for those interested in the older trailers. First old one I see will be getting the 3rd degree ;) We will try to stay in a trailer park and see how the other half live first hand :D

Hi George.
That is a big yes for the 2011 calendars. I hope to have everything at the printers by the start of October, and as I mentioned earlier in the thread, if I can order 200 they should come in at about $10.00 each. :D :D

Cheers.

The 2011 Calendars have now arrived !

I originally had the intention of ordering 200 which would have brought the cost down to around $10.00. After a little thinking we decided to ordered 100 for this year to see who they go.
We have also tried something very different for the calendars this year, and used some of the original black and white photos I have, with most of them being the original manufactures photos.
So if you would like a copy or two send me an email to thetrodler@yahoo.com.au and Ill let you know how to send the money. Speaking of money the calendars are $15.00 each plus postage of $3.00 bringing the total to $18.00 which I think is quite reasonable, and they also make very easy Christmas presents for that hard to buy relative.

Cheers.

Hi Richard

Received my calendar, look forward to putting it up on Jan 1, bad luck to do it before hand according to my dear old mum ;)

Love the concept of using the old photos, they are a great reference , no amount of restoration ever seems to produce the same result :!:
