In the off-season the storage of a caravan often becomes a problem. To leave a caravan out in the open and covering it with a tarpaulin can not be recommended unless if at frequent intervals it is given an airing, as it gets damp under the tarpaulin where the air cannot circulate freely. The tarpaulin often becomes slack, rubbing the paintwork. To overcome the difficulty, if a suitable shed or spare garage is not available and the caravan is an expensive model, a garage or trellis greenhouse should be built to order. Tyres to will deteriorate in the sun.
