cabarita Beach 2015

Took a trip up.... No.. not to Abergavenie...
To Cabarita Beach near Kingscliff on the north coast of NSW on the Australia Day weekend.
Just wanted a quiet weekend away in a peaceful little sea seaside village.
Swung into the park after dark... bushed from driving 9 hours ( 8 in the rain) from Newcastle.
Place was in darkness... so park the panno and Td .. climbed into bed and had a good night sleep with the rain pitter pattering on the roof....
Woke the next morning to find that all the rain and humidity had caused a stack of white mushrooms to pop up...
A noice Airstream Bambi...we slotted him in amongst the bauxite boxes.
Coupla Bondwoods
Nice Belvedere... 265 Hemi running gear.. a bargain at $15,000
The "secret admirer" was in tears most of the weekend. It appears his Dodge from the same era cost almost that much just for the paint work....
Meggsey Sutcac took a fancy to the "local poultry" but they made good their escape.
( Note the folded back ear ... caused by her dad when he found out she had been sampling the local table birds )
Had a great weekend with old mates and new ones. Bit hard socializing when it is flogging down rain. The sun finally came out Saturday arvo. Had a nice meal at the local restaurant Saturday night. Actually managed a swim in the surf on Sunday. Monday came all too soon.
So... packed up and headed for home. Made it to Kempsey then the rain found me again for the last 4 hours of the run home.
Cheers
