Charles Hope, Limited
Wandoo Street, Valley
Brisbane.

This advertisement appeared in The Courier-Mail (Brisbane) on 24-5-1937 and the Sunday Mail the previous day. Nothing has been found prior to this date, but it would seem likely they just didn't suddenly launch into caravans, or maybe they did. The company was a well known Brisbane body builder who I know built ambulance bodies around this time.

It will be interesting to see what else may turn up for them in time.

Another advertisement for Hope's Caravans, this one from the Truth (Brisbane) 15 September, 1937 showing an actual photo of a van which has a strange little lantern roof and a rear door. And what about the little Raceaway with its single wheel and stripe to match its big brother. I want one, or a Tardis!!

Here's another Hope's advertisement from 1937 showing a different application of the single wheel 'RACEAWAY' trailer.
