Caravan Equipment Coy. Pty. Ltd.
25-27 Bellambi Lane.
Bellambi. NSW.
and later 42 Bellambi Lane. Bellambi.

Proprietor. Cornelis Jan Van Wijngaarden.

I find this company interesting as it is only about 5 minutes away from the ourtouringpast.com Caravan Museum. :o

1966 Travel Sleeper ad.

The photo below shows the original location of the Caravan Equipment Coy. before they moved to 42 Bellambi Lane. ( the site is still a light industrial site although it looks as though all of the original buildings have gone.)

The 1962 Patent for the Travel Sleeper.

I have not show the full patent as it is a long one at something like 15 pages, but if you would like to see the full patent send me an email.

Back in June of this year Donald contacted me about a Travel Sleeper trailer that his father had purchased new from the factory in Bellambi Lane.

Donald recalls that his father purchased the trailer from a Dutch gentleman which more than likely would have been the proprietor and inventer Cornelis Jan Van Wijngaarden.
