I have been in contact with a lovely lady by the name of Gwen from Camden who has kindly given me this fantastic little brochure.
Well i have always had an interest in slide on caravans, as I have always had a ute. And I have also wondered when the first "slide on"s were built. So you wouldnt believe what I picked up to day, but a brochure from the late 1940 ( going by the Austin A40 used as a demo ) that I would have to say would be one of the first production made slide on campers. Although it is slightly different to the modern models, the same basic principals are there.
So here is a copy of the little 10' x 6' brochure.
