Sportsman's Camper for Toyota Lite Stout - Nichols Motors, Greenacre.

This would be an interesting thing to find these days, a specially built camper on a Toyota Lite Stout.
I should imagine if you did find one in a paddock without the Toyota attached it would be a bit of an ask to find a Lite Stout these days. A bloke I worked with 30 years ago had one, a pretty tired old specimen at that and about the only one I can ever recall.

This item from Motor Manual 2-7-1956 shows an interesting unit fitted to a utility.

A vintage caravan brochure for Freeway Campers. Looks to be a very early brochure for this make by the look of the two utes displayed.

1968 Avis ute and camper rentals.
Its interesting that they are calling them a "canopy camper" and that they have outlets in all capital cities but in the fine print available from Sydney only.

I hope this is the thread for my first post.
If not mods please move to appropriate place.
This is my "Classic" camper. I have had it for a few years now and believe that I am the third owner.
From what I am told it was built in Victoria in the early-mid '70's.

Recently I have installed solar and recovered the interior seats. It is a great unit and I have driven all around Tassie.
Thanks
Dave
