This item from Modern Motor, November 1948 shows a big bondwood with an interesting feature of the rear section sliding inwards to reduce the overall length when towing. An idea that didn't seem to catch on. An interesting shape and plenty of port holes.

Hi George.
This is a very unusual van isnt it, it amazes me that the wheels arent further towards the rear of the van to counter act the weight that would be at the back. Considering the slide in section at the rear would be timber framed and clad with ply which in itself would weigh a bit.
