What a beaut postcard of 'Billy the Bull', who in late 1938 and early 1939 became quite a celebrity in papers around the country with his exploits.
I've had these items for a while giving some detail, but didn't quite know where to post them. Mr. Talent certainly looks like he could have finished the job if Billy had succumbed. And you needed a police permission to drive him to the GPO in Melbourne, even back then.
A later photo from a similar angle to the one above showed some sign writing on the front requesting no cameras, but photos were available for sale, looks like you scored one of those. He had to pay for that chaff somehow.
