My 1959 Propert
Re: My 1959 Propert
Hi
She looks great. Get used to opening and closing it. Every time we take Ruby out, we are surrounded with admirers who want to know every detail. I've made up a information board with photos showing restoration and information about the Propert. I hope it will save answering the same questions over and over.
Good on you for saving another Propert. What are you towing it with?
Graeme

Re: My 1959 Propert
Hello Graeme
We dont tow it with the usual traditional tow car ! Just my husbands Commodore or we can use his 86 Jag
We picked it up from Newcastle area and here are some photos on the way back.
Getting the keys from the previous owner
Driving off
Coffs Harbour
Safely home
Original lino
The board you made up is that when you go to car shows and when you take it out?
Do you have a photo of the board?
Regards
Kathryn

Re: My 1959 Propert
Hi all. I bought this Propert on the weekend. The top is a mess and will need all ply replaced and the two boards along the sides at the bottom of the ply sheets (rot has got to it).
Interior seems good still. The Propert plate is missing but I have found the number that it was originally registered as in NSW so hope to be able to find the serial number from their records.
Will start another thread and keep you posted with photos.
Cheers, Neil

Forgot to mention Neil.
If you have a look around the area I marked with the red oval you may find the original serial number there, as it was originally stamped into the ply behind the ID plate.
