Well it's been a long time since I have visited here. The GlobeTrotter is sold as is the restored Franklin.
Recently finished this 1947 Bendigo homebuilt ;
And our next project is this 195? Viscount. Richard has an ad for this model in the Viscount thread stating 1958 but I feel it's much earlier than this. If only there were some original receipts.

Hi VF
The homebuilt looks a treat, look forward to seeing results on the Viscount.

G'Day Mate..
The Bendigo van looks great... Gotta love the bondys aye !!
The Viscount will be pre 1958.... Most of the prominent van companys had gone to aluminium windows by that year... Given the other features of the van i would put it between 52 to 55...
What stud pattern / Wheels are on it ???
If i am not mistaken i would say that the Bendigo van is from around the same era. Most 1940s built vans had tongued and grooved floorboards ???
But if you have documented proof that the van was built in 1947 i will stand corrected... its a lovely van .
Being unbraked It would take a bit of stopping...???? ... ( unless it has had an upgrade to electric brakes)
Look forward to pix of the Viscount resto....keep em coming.

Re: Hello from a caravan hoarder
Iam with Reddo on the Viscount.
It would have to be earlier than 58 as this type of construction was getting a bit dated by then.
I have a look back and see if I can confirm the date of the ad.
Cheers.
PS Love the Bendigo van too.
