We too would also like to wish everyone a safe and merry Christmas.
I cant believe that this year is nearly over,  I still have so many things left to do.
It has been another great year meeting new people and some very old friends, I also had the pleasure of meeting a few original caravan builders this year, collecting a little more history of the caravan industry in Australia.
The museum was also busy the first half of the year, but I had to cancel a couple of bookings after we sadly lost our dad in August, who was a great dad to us four kids and also the inspiration for starting this vintage caravan website as well.
So Linda, Joshua, Claire and I would like to wish every on a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.

Hello Everybloody

Well.... a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone... even if the well wishes are a bit late ( God bless Telstra and the new NBN too )

2016 is just around the corner...... I was sitting back the other day thinking ... 2016.. wow,,,, I am getting older by the year..well aren't we all.

I can remember back in 1969 when I was leaving school and starting my first job . I was already working out what year I could retire....Hey.. there is no harm in planning ahead
That retirement date is looming close now and more and more I am having thoughts about what to do with all the spare time I am gunna have...
Tackle the bucket list ??...Hmmmmm.. I have already done a pretty thorough job on "The bucket"
Lifes been good.

But ... I haven't worn out the enthusiasm for travelling...... weather its in a vintage van towed by an old car .. or I go down the path of the other 12,000,000 grey nomads I can be happy in knowing I have a stack of good friends from the V V world scattered around Australia to drop in on while travelling and share some good times with. 8-) 8-)
Likewise anyone that finds themselves in the Newcastle district on their travels are always welcome to call in for a beer or a cuppa.

Looking forward to cruising up to the vint van get together at Evans Head in Late January , the Tour to the inaugural OTP Rally at SWR in March / April. ...Christmas in July .. wherever that may be ??.. Shell Harbour in October .... and what ever comes along on the Vintage Van Calendar throughout the year. 8-)

Anyway... Trish and I hope you and your family have an enjoyable New Years Eve and a Prosperous, Healthy, Happy and Safe New Year.

Until we meet...
Happy Trails :D
