The Inaugural “www. Ourtouringpast.com – Anniversary Rally”

This event will take place in April 2016 and will include a short tour to the venue.

( Please note.
The tour stays have not been finalised with the park managers as yet and may vary before the commencement of the short tour. Also tour stays for the Northern NSW. SEQ and QLD people will be open to suggestions from those heading south to the OTP Anniversary Rally.
A separate thread will be started for the tours… )

We are pleased to announce that the Inaugural OTP Rally will be held at……...

Horseshoe Bay Caravan Park – at Beautiful Historic South West Rocks NSW!!!!

We have negotiated a pay for 6 nights get the 7th free deal with the park management. Dates for the Horseshoe Beach Stay are from
Saturday 2nd April to Friday 8th April , 2016 .

The management have set aside 10 sites for the Our Touring Past group… so sites are definitely limited to the first 10 people who phone and book a site. Sites are 19 through to… and including 28.

If you are interested in attending then please choose a site.
Phone the park on 1300 262 782 – select option 3.
Check that site is still available.
A deposit of $55.00 will secure your site.
Obviously there will be some who do not wish to stay the full 7 days , so please mention that when making your booking.
Balance payable on arrival will be $206.00 for the 7 day stay.
Make sure you mention” Öur Touring Past “and the contact person for info re the group..…- Glenn Redman... They have my contact details if they / you have any questions re the group booking.

Once you have made your booking please pm me with your name , contact details and site number So I can update the site availability here on the forum.

There will possibly be other sites available for others wishing to attend , but they will scattered throughout the park and may not adjacent to the 10 sites reserved for OTP. These site have not been allocated to OTP and may be taken by the general public well in advance of the OTP gathering.
The park management have given the team 14 days to make people aware of the booking arrangements and dates.

We would like you to give the Tour/Rally serious consideration and book in within the next 7 days and pm me with names and site number(s)

Ummmmm...
My last comment was to ... "Give the rally some serious consideration and book within the next seven days"

Just received a call from the park to say that all ten sites are now taken...

Seems as though serious consideration wasn't necessary......all it took was 7 hours....
It also appears that all 10 people have in there possession classic or vintage towcars.

The Rally team will have to work on those people and try and convince them to bring the flash towcars along as well...
How cool will that be??
10 vans.. Bondwood, fobbergross and bauxite ( but highly desirable bauxite ) .. 10 sweet towcars parked up with them all in a neat row.

The Rally team are currently in negotiations with the park for a second "Land release".
We are waiting on a confirmation email ... but it appears sites 14 to 18 are now available ... 18 will need to be vacated by around 10.00am Friday.
The rest are all arrive Saturday 2nd April.. Leave the following Saturday .
Courtney also mentioned a couple of sites in or around site 35.
Will pass on exact details when they send em through to us.

Just like to thank all those that acted promptly and made a booking. Certainly makes things easier for the team.
Looks like being a ripper of an event.

Just giving the Rally a bit of a "Bump"
Plenty of time of get organised before this event.
Discuss getting time off next year with your boss.
Start saving for fuel and other expenses.
Finish off the resto or renovations on your vintage van

and

Most importantly.. check the sites that have been set aside for the Our Touring Past - vintage vanners rally .
pick a site.
Then Phone the "Horeshoe Bay Caravan Park" at South West Rocks" on...
on 1300 262 782 – select option 3.
and pay your deposit..
The longer you leave securing a site, the less likely you are to get a site with /near the rest of the Vintage Van group.

This rally is being organised to .."Ä" Celebrate the 8th Anniversary of "www.öurtouringpast.com " website and forum and ..."B".. Celebrate all things vintage caravanning......just as mum /dad.. grandad and grandma use to use them..

We look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

The OTP Anniversary Rally Team would just like to remind you that the months are ticking down towards April 2016....
And with each month that passes by sites at Horseshoe Bay Caravan Park are being snapped up by not only people intending to come along to the rally..... but also the general public.

As mentioned before... to avoid disappointment , anyone intending coming along should jump on the phone ASAP and secure their piece of paradise ...
Costs as little as $50 deposit to get your name on one of the most scenic pieces of caravan park real estate on the east coast.
Just imagine getting up of a morning . boiling up a brew and sitting out front of your vintage van ....soaking up the morning sun and the 180 degree views of the coastline...... waaayyy .

Lots to see and do.. or do nothing but enjoy a well earned break from work .....on your own...with your partner...with your family ... and your extended vintage van family....

Great work with the organising. 18 vans is a great number considering, and at least its still small enough so that we can all gather in a group and keep it more personal.
