Re: The Man, Keith Winser
Great shot that !!
Keith Winser was a busy man, being the editor of soooo many publications covering sooo many different topic .....cars, caravans, boats, camping, fishing etc etc ....
His operation would have had to employ alot of staff, writers, publishers, printers, distributors etc.
His caravanning publications from the era are now highly sought after, .... I for one can no longer afford them when they come up on Ebay

Another photo of Keith Winser at Port Welshpool with his Studebaker and Don caravan which he purchased from his good friend Mr "Don" Robinson.
Keith had a standing order with Studebaker that they would supply him with a new car every year to be used for publicity purposes.

The Flynn Transcontinental.
This is Keith Winsers caravan that was designed by Keith and his very good Jack Flynn of Flynn Caravans.
The van was designed over 1953 and 54 with construction completed in 1955.
It is interesting to note that at some stage the bottom edge of one of the exterior walls was damaged and to repair it the exterior had to be reclad, but it ended up being repaired with an aluminium skirting down the sides.

I think this image of Keith with his camera was used on one of the Motor Manuals cover page. It is not commonly known that Keith Winser was a very good photographer and he took most of the photos used in his publications.
