Re: Masonite Technical Information.
Hi Richard
Here's another caravan orientated Masonite advertisement from 1938. It too is from the good old days when CSR was the manufacturer. I saw somewhere recently they had a plant at Raymond Terrace which might explain Masonite Road that we travelled on recently when taking the van to Nelson's Bay. I thought at the time it was an odd name but the subsequent information makes sense of it.
From what I can see it seems it is made by Gunnersens these days?
George

Re: Masonite Technical Information.
Last weekend was very busy for Linda Joshua and I, as on Sunday we had a car club with around 50 people come to have a look through Australias only Caravan Museum. We were also very lucky to have one of the people visiting, donating a late 1950's, early 1960's Masonite brochure.
I just love these old brochures with the coloured pictures, but they are also very useful as they give you an idea of the colour schemes of that period. I have included one kitchen plan of the 8 in the brochure to give you an idea of how a kitchen was built back then, which is also very similar in construction to cupboards in a caravan.
