I have been in contact with Don and Heather who are the owners of Propert 221.
The van was originally purchased by an artist by the name of Nancy Sayers, who at the time was living in Perth, Nancy mentioned to a girlfriend that she wished to buy a small caravan to tow behind her Volkswagon on a trip back to South Australia. Nancy's girlfriend just happened to live in Vaucluse and knew of a caravan builder that built these amazing little caravans. Nancy purchased Propert 221 and Thomas Propert had it trucked over to Perth for Nancy.
Nancy then towed the Propert back to South Australia, painting along the way. Once she returned to Goolwa the van was parked in Nancy back yard and that is where it sat untill Don and Heather purched the van off her.
Don and Heather have done alot of work on the van after 30 years in the weather at Goolwa and have travelled alot of kms in the van with a trip around Australia a couple of years ago and more recently an 8000 km trip to Queensland.
